Monkswood Mill - John & Jane Jacobs

"Monkswood Mill" takes its name from the old water mill alongside the railway.

The mill, although in good condition, is no longer used. Monkswood station, however, is still very busy with a good passenger service to the line's terminous at "Tipton Parva" and to its main line connection some ten miles distant. Although Monkswood is a through station, many passenger trains terminate here, but a variety of goods trains pass through. A small goods yard is provided.

The layout features hand-built track and points with a varied selection of kit-built locomotives and rolling stock.

Most of the buildings have been constructed by Jane using the "Linka" casting system. Of particular interest is the church, which is based on the one to be found at Whittlebury, Northamptonshire, near their home.
